I listened to an amazing conference call this evening. One of them gems from Paul Gravette was "You meet people for a reason. They are a blessing... or a lesson." This really struck me. He encouraged us to think about the people around us. Seriously, think about who we are spending our precious limited time on earth with. I couldn't help but think about how I was showing up in the world too. How am I showing up to my friends and family? Am I pouring into them with a grateful heart or draining them by sharing whining tales of woe? It's important to think about your impact on the world around you and also how much you let other people impact you! Gandhi clearly had it right when he said, "Be the change you want to see!" I am here to spread positive energy, love and light so if you think you see something else from me, take a second and hold a mirror up and make sure its not a reflection of yourself you are seeing. Be joy. Spread joy. Be the blessing, not the lesson!
You know my devotions this week I was listening to a podcast. The person talked about joy. Radiating joy and how she was with someone sad and down. She decided this gal needed to laugh. So she made a couple funnies and did some other things and she said the other gal laughed and a whole load lifted off her shoulders- it was almost visible. She said she felt pushed in her spirit to reconnect her friend to joy- And there is was- in the silliness- a reason to connect- laugh, have fun -push worry aside and just be present. She went on to talk about being a light in someones darkness. We all have that capability to be a light in someones darkest times. Be joyful- its contagious like the common cold. Spread that stuff like glitter this weekend- Embrace your joy live it- show it on your face spread it around and share your joy! #attractjoy #bealightinsomeonesdarkness
Just a gal who believes with all her heart she has the power to help others live a life they deserve!
